Our story

Named for the maru

In a Korean home, the maru is the wooden floor at the center — the place where the family gathers and everyday things earn their keep. Across Korea, small workshops have spent decades making those everyday things properly: the brush that lasts, the pan that heats evenly, the cloth that does not fray.

MARUN goes to find them, checks every claim ourselves, and brings them to homes around the world under one name you can trust. We start with the objects on your floor and your table; where we are going is the machines that will one day help keep a home — built with the same patience, from the same place.
